1. Who We Are

Coffer Studios ("we", "us", "our") operates cofferstudios.com. This policy explains what information we collect from visitors and clients, and how it's used. If you don't agree with this policy, please don't use the site or our services.

2. Information We Collect

Personal data. When you submit our project enquiry form, we collect your name, company, email address, phone number (if provided), and the project details you share. You don't need to create an account or provide payment information just to contact us.

Technical and usage data. Like most websites, we automatically collect some technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device type, and IP address, along with usage data like which pages you visit and how long you spend on them. This is collected through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, covered in the Cookies & Analytics section below.

Payment data. If you choose to pay a service deposit, custom quote fee or consultation fee, your payment is processed directly by our payment providers (Stripe and Cal.com). We never see or store your card details ourselves; see our Terms of Service for how these payments, refunds and cancellations work.

Project previews. If we send you a private link to preview unreleased project work, opening that link records the time it was viewed, so we know your access is working as intended.

3. Cookies & Analytics

With your consent (via the cookie banner shown on your first visit), we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve it. You can decline this at any time; declining does not affect your ability to use the site or contact us.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to respond to your project request, prepare proposals and, if you become a client, deliver the agreed work; process payments and invoices; send you administrative or service-related communications (like replies to your enquiry or updates on a project preview); monitor and improve our website and services; and detect and prevent fraud, abuse or misuse of our website and forms. We do not currently send marketing emails, and we do not sell or rent your information to third parties.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We share information only where it's needed to run our business and services:

Service providers. Trusted third parties that process data on our behalf: Stripe and Cal.com for payments and bookings, our email provider for sending and receiving enquiries, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for site analytics, and our web hosting provider. Each only accesses what it needs to perform its function.

By law or to protect rights. If required to comply with a legal obligation, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or that of others.

Business transfers. If Coffer Studios is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that deal.

With your consent. If you ask us to share your information with someone else on your behalf, such as a manufacturing partner.

6. Data Retention

We retain enquiry and client information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law.

7. Security of Your Information

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, rate-limiting on our forms to prevent automated abuse, and restricted access to client information. Where we need view-only access to something of yours to deliver a service, we request only the minimum access required.

8. Your Rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to analytics cookies, by contacting us at hello@cofferstudios.com. If you are in the EU/UK, you have rights under GDPR; if you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we become aware that we've collected information from a child under 13, we'll delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Coffer Studios operates from Australia. Depending on where you and our service providers are located, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries. By using our site or services, you consent to this.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, so please check back periodically.
